This powerpoint presentation provides the key points for a standardized approach to maintenance and asset management for both large and small systems. In 1999, Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) embarked on developing and implementing a risk-based preventative maintenance system. OCWA utilized a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) program for maintenance, to track all Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Ontario Ministry of Labor inspections at OCWA-operated facilities, as a tool to document all costs associated with the operation beyond the scope of maintenance, and as a
knowledge base for standard operating and maintenance procedures. Topics outlined include: brief overview of OCWA;
partners of OCWA;
services delivered;
evolution of asset management;
utilizing the work management system (WMS) program;
client benefits;
partnerships; and,
key points to asset management.
