This poster presentation provides information on the use of membrane treatment and how membranes are becoming more widely used due to the number of significant
technical benefits they offer along with the fact that they have become more cost-competitive in the last decade. The presentation covers the four major membrane categories of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis. Information is provided on the different processes they are used for such as reuse and desalination and wastewater treatment. Statistics are provided on membrane performance compared to conventional biological treatment, along with a chart that provides a membrane selection guideline process for different treatment needs.
