This powerpoint presentation begins by defining a successful project as owner, engineer, and contractor
working together for the public good. Examples of projects are listed, along with the statement that a successful project includes: under budget;
ahead of schedule;
quality work;
few complaints;
few change orders; and,
These Will Not Change in the Future! These components of a successful project are the
benchmark by which our
projects are defined. Engineering and
proper risk allocation will
become increasingly important
as more focus will be put on the
task to repair our aging
infrastructure. The premise and the principle findings of a task force formed to examine risk assignment are provided. Examples of risk allocation decisions are listed. Teamwork is stressed as the key component of a successful project.
