This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of current groundwater under direct influence (GWUDI) assessment protocol, along with MPA and riverbank filtration. The results of a utility survey are outlined, along with limitations of the current GWUDI/MPA protocol and application to riverbank filtration. A new study was done with the following goals: Integration of Cryptosporidium into the MPA
protocol;
Reevaluation of suitable MPA indicator
surrogates and detection methods; and,
Scientific reevaluation MPA as a risk
assessment tool. The technical approach and preliminary results are presented. Includes tables, figures.
