raise public awareness;
communicate attainable goals;
provide information that creates a path to
behavior change;
create a sense of social responsibility; and,
establish collective and individual benefits for
behavior change. Social marketing themes are presented, along with changing behavior, broad-based and targeted communications, advertising's role, and public attitudes. A case study of social marketing at St. Johns River Water Management District is presented.
