This powerpoint presentation discusses a project at the City of Houston's (Texas) East Water Purification Plant (EWPP) called the Treatment Optimization and Support Project
(TOSP). It was initiated in 2008 as a
multi-year project for the
optimization of
surface water plants,
groundwater plants,
re-pump stations, and the
distribution system.
Project goals were to
reduce chemical/energy costs, and
maintain superior water quality. Key drivers for the study are provided, along with a brief overview of Houston's EWPP, a comprehensive performance evaluation (CPE), and performance limiting factors (PLFs). Includes tables, figures.
