This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the current limitations of
advanced oxidation
process (AOP). An overview of technology is provided that includes AquaPure Advanced Oxidation
Technology (AOT) System that utilized
non-thermal plasma to destruct
contaminants, along with lab studies that were conducted to
determine kinetic constants for
the destruction of TCE and MTBE, pilot scale studies at two sites, the optimum operational conditions
and costs were evaluated at aerojet and the removal of PPCPs and disinfection
byproducts by non-thermal plasma
were evaluated at Southern Nevada
Water Authority. The next step is to
find a pilot site to demonstrate:
longer term operation;
NDMA destruction to low ppt levels;
robust destruction of EDCs/PPCPs;
pathogen destruction to reclaimed water
standards; and,
performance from a larger reactor (50 gpm). Includes figures.
