Regional Water Authority (RWA) and the paradigm shift from disaster response
to business continuity plans (BCPs) in order to ensure that basic operations and
services are provided at all
times, under all circumstances. Topics presented include: recovering and maintaining
operations during an
emergency; RWA - one of the 1st water utilities to develop
a comprehensive, NIMS compliant BCP; methodology for developing a BCP; business impact analysis; recovery time objectives matrix; crisis communication / incident command; staff training, exercise and update; and, BCP benefits for RWA. Includes table, figure.
