This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the CO-RADS goals:
offer compliance and technical assistance to
communities struggling to comply with the
Radionuclides Rule at no cost to the systems; and
ultimately, help water systems resolve
radionuclides violations. Malcolm Pirnie's scope of work is presented, along with the key project objective of developing 33 system-specific
preliminary engineering reports to help identify a
compliance alternative. Compliance challenges and other water quality challenges are presented, along with compliance options, a list of small system compliance technologies for radionuclides and limitations of use, evaluation criteria and
weightings, AACE cost estimate classifications, example of an uranium system, impact on CO-RADS systems, current status of CO-RADS, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment position, external movement, and value of CO-RADS reports. Includes tables, figures.
