This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of public drinking water systems in Puerto Rico, and compares the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) systems with the NON-PRASA systems for the following categories: system distribution and population served; bacteriological MCL violation; and, filtration. A project to install drum filtration systems in the Rio Piedras Community in San German, Puerto Rico, is presented along with the main system and remote monitoring components, telemetry modeling, drum filters configuration, chlorination system, and water quality modeling parameters.
