This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the California Energy and Utility Workforce Consortium. Pacific Gas and Electric's (PG&E) program called PowerPathway is presented and has the following vision: build capacity in California
to produce the skilled workers
needed by PG&E and the
energy industry. Program components include: working through
communities to attract
the right people with the
right skills at the right
time; preparing for retirement and
diversity trends, and a
carbon-constrained future; generating early interest
in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math
(STEM) pathways and
career technical education; and, guiding cities and
municipalities on best
practices to create a
