This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the city of Sugar Land, Texas, and a project to build a surface water treatment plant to meet regulatory groundwater reduction goals. Source water is Oyster Creek and a review of source water quality is presented, along with water quality goals, treatment train, and taste & odor candidate alternatives including: two-stage granular activated carbon (GAC); ozone followed by GAC; and, single-stage GAC.
