This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the need for high tech operations and the global trends in workforce and technology issues. A Water Sector Utility Management Strategy was created in
March 2007 by seven collaborating organizations that are provided, along with a leadership training example of the 2009 Water and Wastewater Leadership Center. The AWWA web site's Certificate Program for High-Tech Operators is presented, along with course material that is covered, effective utility management attributes, waging the "War for Talent", and steps from awareness to action.
