This paper begins by outlining the main objectives of RINCAD on hydraulic balancing and management of stocks and equipment while describing all the possibilities and characteristics of the software. The paper also discusses the impact of the software implementation, as well as the required preparation of data and updates of information in order to adequately manage an aqueduct network. A display of the software's flushing route results and typical reports used by network personnel are given. A non-destructive method to evaluate security factors in water mains, and future development of the software is included.
