Nevada has been successful in designing and enacting a legislative package to address anticipated ramifications of the amendments to the SDWA. The model of a legislative study proved to be effective in developing a comprehensive package of proposals, and a cooperative approach from professionals in the field facilitated its enactment. Progress of implementation has been slowed by negative economic conditions. Hopefully, however, previous successes in design and enactment of the legislative package will provide incentive for future success in long-term implementation.
