Computer technology and software propagation have redefined water system planning. The purpose of this report is to identify and evaluate current technology for the next step in water systems, systems design. There exist many aspects of design, including water line design, water treatment, storage, and pump stations. Within the broad spectrum facility designs there are numerous disciplines that may be discussed. Within the scope of this study, the only aspect of pump station design evaluated was station interior piping.
