The Multi-Mag is an insertable electromagnetic flow sensor which measures velocity at key locations across a full pipe. The ease of installation, high accuracy, high rangeability, and low cost of the Multi-Mag will make it a natural choice in applications where venturi meters and spool piece electromagnetic flow meters have been used in the past. The Multi-Mag has been thoroughly tested in numerous categories. Its accuracy, linearity, and repeatability have been confirmed by testing in a variety of pipe sizes. It has been tested for its ability to withstand flow induced vibrations during installation as well as firmly installed against the far wall. The ruggedness of the sensor and its ability to accept the load applied to hold it against the far wall have been studied.
