This paper's focus is on an analysis of outdoor water end uses and on the potential for water timer savings from a targeted distribution. Using a multiple regression model, reported water use activities and billing meter consumption, outdoor water use is disaggregated into its component parts. In addition, the potential for cost-effective savings was discovered for a timer program targeting households with residents older than 55 years and with turfgrass lawns greater than 1,000 square feet.
