This paper describes the DuPage Water Commission's efforts at converting all of its documents to an electronic format and having a single system to manage the documents. A description is given of the two separate computer networks that the Commission currently uses: the Administrative Local Area Network (Admin LAN), and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. An outline is given of the main concepts to be considered before starting a project of this magnitude.
