This standard covers ferrous sulfate (FeSO4) in moist, dried, and solution (liquid) forms, for water supply service application. The main purpose of this standard is to provide purchasers, manufacturers, and suppliers with the minimum requirements for ferrous sulfate, including physical, chemical, packaging, shipping, and testing requirements. The major revisions in this edition of ANSI/AWWA B402-95 include the following: The format has been changed to AWWA standard style; The acceptance clause (Sec. I.C) and the definitions of parties (Sec. 3) have been revised to approved wording; and The distinction between moist and dried ferrous sulfate has been made.
This addendum to ANSI/AWWA B402-95 Standard for Ferrous Sulfate revises or replaces Page vii, Sec. I.C; Page viii, Sec. III.A; and Page 3, Sec. 4.3.
