This paper describes Automated Curriculum Development (ACD) and helps the user decide whether ACD is appropriate for application in their organization. This tool is not appropriate, feasible, or perhaps necessary for use in all organizations. To assist the user in a feasibility assessment of ACD for their organization, the paper outlines eleven key concepts of ACD which the user should be familiar with: what ACD is; general curriculum development needs; benefits of ACD; what ACD does; why ACD was built; how ACD does it; overview of use of ACD; installation and usage of ACD; quick start of ACD; tailoring of ACD; and who does not need ACD.
