This standard covers factory-coated bolted steel tanks for water storage and is based on the accumulated knowledge and experience of manufacturers of steel tanks. Major changes made to the standard in this revision include the following: changes have been made to Sec. 1, Seismic Design of Flat-Bottomed Water Storage Tanks, to reflect the changes made to ANSI/AWWA D100, Standard for Welded Steel Tanks for Water Storage; and a new Sec. 13 was created for structurally supported aluminum dome roofs, which replaces Appendix A.
