This slide presentation outlines information on acoustic leak noise loggers that included: default listening times should not be used without
first evaluating the usage characteristics of the
specific location;
operators should evaluate usage characteristics
when conducting acoustic leak detection;
the usage may change throughout the year,
therefore the settings may need to be changed
after the usage profile changes; and,
in many cases in areas with significant amounts of
automatic irrigation systems - the most effective
leak noise logging times are often between 12
midnight and 2 a.m. rather than 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. Includes figures.
