This slide presentation begins by listing characteristics of military mobile water treatment systems. The presentation outlines the advantages and disadvantages of Department of Defense support for development of contingency water treatment equipment, lists characteristics of Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units (ROWPUs) which is being used currently, presents the Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) which has recently been developed and is being implemented, provides a water flow diagram of the lightweight water purifier (LWP) or TWPS, provides pictures of military personnel setting up the units, and lists the characteristics of the new Navy Expeditionary Unit Water Purification System (EUWP) and its improvements over the TWPS.
