This paper discusses the design and implementation of the Laboratory Information
Management System Plus (LIMS Plus) that was developed for, and in conjunction with,
the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority. The LIMS Plus was designed specifically
for the in-house laboratories of wastewater treatment plants. The system stores
data in a centralized database thus avoiding data entry errors. In addition, the
system provides advanced automatic data validation, manual data validation,
sample tracking and sample result calculations. Includes reference, figure.
