The objectives of this slide presentation on large meter assessment were to:
provide an overview of the City of Henderson and
the Department of Utility Services; discuss Henderson's Large Meter
Assessment Project;
relate how the Large Meter Assessment
project fits into the overall asset
management strategy;
provide an overview of the large meter
assessment methodology;
describe the benefits, considerations and
challenges of conducting the large meter
assessment; and,
discuss the large meter assessment results. Assessment strategy included: assess a representative sample of
50 large meters;
use assessment as an opportunity to collect a
wide range of data and not just "test" the large
meter;
hire an engineering firm; and, also an
opportunity to develop and fine tune the
assessment methodology. Pilot test assessment methodology is outlined along with the benefits, challenges, considerations, and results.
