This article reports the current developments related to rules promulgated or proposed under the Safe Drinking Water Act, such as the Lead and Copper Rule, Phase V Rule, the Disinfectants/Disinfection By-Products Rule (including the Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule and the Information Collection Rule), the Radionuclides Rule, and the Sulfate Rule. Anticipated new rules that will update analytical methods, reestablish regulatory priorities, and streamline revisions to current regulations are reviewed as well. Includes 56 references, tables.
