This slide presentation outlines an efficiency study that demonstrated how Dallas Water Utility (DWU) achieved its vision of being an efficient provider of superior water and wastewater service and a leader in the water industry. Utility profile information is given, along with major capital and management concerns. The efficiency study findings are outlined and two major problems due to efficiency efforts, workforce turnover and distribution system renewal, are outlined in detail. The top 10 needs related to continuous improvement are listed.
