increasingly driving their enterprise information management and data dissemination strategies.

for a growing number of local government agencies. This paper discusses how GIS acts as a catalyst for sharing information and integrating services within
and between many local government agencies by creating shared databases, allowing for
access to information across departments and agencies. Includes figures.
