This paper presents a newly developed integrated homogenous solution diffusionmodel (HSDM) and film theory model (FTM) developed for prediction of waterquality produced from membrane processes. These models consider membrane pressuregradient, osmotic pressure, recovery, recycle, solvent mass transfer coefficient, solute mass transfer coefficient and concentration polarization as variables. Acomparison of the predictive capability of the models was made by using singleelement and multi-stage pilot unit data to predict actual full-scale facilitywater quality. Includes 6 references, tables, figures.
