An overview of Direct Integrity Testing defines it as a physical test applied to a membrane
unit in order to identify and isolate integrity
breaches.
The purpose of DIT is to confirm the
removal efficiency of a membrane system at
a level commensurate with the log removal
credit (LRC) awarded to the process. The objectives of this slide presentation include: review the requirements for direct integrity
testing under LT2ESWTR;
present key concepts for direct integrity testing;
describe methods for establishing resolution
and sensitivity for pressure- and marker-based
DITs; and,
describe methods for converting pressure decay
results to LRVs. Includes table, figures.
