This slide presentation outlines a membrane pilot testing project with the First Utility District of Hawkins County, in eastern Tennessee. Pilot testing objectives included:
Holston River is new source
without existing water treatment plant (WTP) data;
determine necessary pretreatment
processes or options;
direct filtration or enhanced
coagulation decisions; and,
determine allowable bid parameters
for flux rates, TMP, chemical
usage, backwash / recovery rates. Pilot testing protocol involved:
State of Texas Standards Used As
General Guidance;
Optimization (30-60 Days);
Clean-In-Place (CIP);
30-Day Run at Optimized Rate;
CIP;
Integrity Test;
48-Hour Irreversible Fouling Test; and,
Final Report. Includes tables, figures.
