This slide presentation outlines a project to evaluate treatment alternatives for H<sub>2</sub>S
removal while meeting water quality (WQ) standards.
Parameters of greatest concern included:
H<sub>2</sub>S: < 0.1 mg/L; and,
Turbidity: < 1.0 NTU. The project also
evaluates treatment alternatives that can
consistently meet the above criteria. The process chemistry involved
ultrafiltration based on partial oxidation of H2S:, and a schematic of the Pilot Plant Configurations is provided. Conclusions of treated water quality are outlined, and the ranking results were 1.
Biological Oxidation followed by UF, and
2. Chlorine Oxidation followed UF. Includes tables, figures.
