The objective of this project was to illustrate and describe a current project to sample and analyze reverse osmosis (RO)-based
military water purifiers operating in Iraq. This project will characterize the quality of intra-system
water streams, and the effectiveness of the military water systems' treatment steps. The
results of these characterizations will then allow military preventive medicine personnel to develop
health risk-based recommendations for using intra-system water streams for non-potable
purposes such as showers and laundries. Includes 6 references, tables, figure.
