This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the project background, including: unintentional indirect potable reuse potential; pollution by emerging organic micropollutants PhACs, EDCs, and PCPs; adverse health/ecological consequences such as cancer, reproductive effects, and genital malformation; limitations of conventional water treatment to eliminate micropollutants; compound specific retention behavior in nanofiltration/reverse osmosis (NF/RO) applications; and, retention behavior influenced by modified membrane properties due to fouling. Four methodologies are presented, and results and discussion include: membrane characterization; impact of J0/k and recovery on rejection; rejection of PhACs/EDCs by clean NF membranes; and, rejection of PhACs/EDCs by fouled NF membranes. Includes tables, figures.
