This paper discusses the Georgia Water Conservation Implementation Plan (WCIP). Components of the WCIP include:
establish statewide goals for water conservation and water use efficiency;
provide guidance on water conservation practices (standard and advanced) for
each water use sector;
overview funding opportunities available to help achieve conservation results;
outline state efforts to help achieve water conservation goals; and,
propose a timeline for implementation and updating water conservation goals. Examples are provided for: Conservation Goals for Industrial Water Users; Benchmarks for Industrial Water Users; Conservation Goals for Golf Course Water Users; Development of Conservation Goals and Benchmarks for
the Remaining Water Use Sectors; and, Drought, Drought Response and Water Conservation
Efforts.
