This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC) and the project purpose that includes: estimate the dollar value of the environmental benefits of reduced consumption of "raw water"; build a spreadsheet model to be used by water utilities; theoretically sound and practical to use by small and large water utilities in California; express Environmental Benefits as a component of avoided cost calculation; and, interact with Avoided Cost model. Project background included: Council Signatories agree to implement all Best Management Practices that are locally cost-effective; cost effective means the present value of expected benefits exceeds the present value of project costs; and, quantify Environmental Benefits within the Context of the Council's MOU. Decision criteria logic is presented, along with the methodology, unit ecological impacts, fish-flow relationship, major findings, and next step. Includes figures.
