The objectives of this project were to examine the effects of oxidationon the adsorption (including conformation) of natural organic matter (NOM) onto aquatic particles, and to evaluate the consequent effects on colloidal stability of particles. The hypothesis of this research is that oxidation improves particle removal because oxidation modifies adsorbed NOM and thus the surface properties of particles. Includes 6 references, table, figure.
