This paper discusses the results of a fast-track pilot program initiated in the Spring 2006 and
completed in February 2007. The primary components of this project included identification
of baseline water quality parameters, development and installation of on-line monitoring
stations for collecting data from the water distribution system, and the integration of relevant
data from a variety of data sources using a data fusion application. Additional efforts were
also taken to improve the customer complaints tracking system, one of the City's primary
sources of information about the water in its distribution system. This paper also covers the
results of the data integration and analysis issues related to the implementation of additional
distribution system monitoring stations. Includes figures.
