This study evaluated methods and procedures for accomplishing in-situ injection of surrogate tracers. The primary objective of this study was to identify, select, and test environmentally acceptable tracers to measure travel times of reclaimed water and its constituents in recharge systems. The project included the following major activities: compare and select tracers for recharge systems augmented with reclaimed water; evaluate performance of tracers in three common recharge systems (recharge basin, vadose zone recharge well, and direct recharge well); and, develop protocol for conducting tracer test at recharge systems. Includes tables, figures.
