This slide presentation outlines a project to assist the regional
jurisdictions and water utilities to effectively coordinate their
efforts in an emergency, and to facilitate the sharing of
resources and expertise in planning for such emergencies,
building on:
emergency response plans (ERPs) that have been developed in
the last two years by every public water supplier;
on ERPs that have been developed by the local government
jurisdictions;
and, on previous regional planning efforts, such as the COG 2005
Water Supply Emergency Response Plan. The presentation outlines the scope of the project that consists of two tasks. Task 1 focuses on Emergency Response Plans for:
potable water;
fire suppression;
hospital emergency water supply; and,
sanitation.
Task 2 focused on Best Management Practices, including:
BMP Forum; and,
Mutual Aid. Includes figures.
