This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the sites of vulnerability of a typical water supply system. A collaborative project with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and
several local utilities is presented to modify the basic platform of source water monitoring to include: HR Turbidity; pH; conductivity; oxidation reduction potential (ORP); additional instrumentation such as ultraviolet (UV) organics sensor, total organic carbon (TOC) analyzer, and auto sampler. Instrumentation/site requirements, adaptive tuning, reasons to test source water, regulated parameters, and coagulation control using source water monitoring are all presented. Includes figures.
