BS 1707:2018 specifies a method of test for the accuracy of spread of binder for bituminous
binder sprayers for road surface dressing, bond coats, seals, preservatives and other sprays.
This test is the preferred UK method for undertaking the spray bar bench test referred to in the
Factory Production Control requirements in Annex A of BS EN 12271:2006.
The test is undertaken when the equipment is stationary.
