The GMDN is a collection of internationally recognised terms used to accurately describe and catalogue medical devices. The Nomenclature, which was compiled by medical device experts from around the world, will improve communication between an innovative, multi-national industry concerned with the safe use and registration of devices and the clear reporting of incidences of failure.
