CSA Preface
This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-ISO/TR 13154, Medical electrical equipment - Deployment, implementation and operational guidelines for identifying febrile humans using a screening thermograph, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Technical Report 13154 (first edition, 2009-04-01). At the time of publication, ISO/TR 13154:2009 is available from ISO in English only. CSA Group will publish the French version when it becomes available from ISO.
Scope
This Technical Report provides general guidelines for the deployment, implementation and operation of a screening thermograph intended to be used for individual non-invasive febrile temperature screening of humans under indoor environmental conditions to prevent the spread of infection.
NOTE The equipment standard for screening thermographs is found in IEC 80601-2-59.
