This standard specifies the requirements for a synthetic liquid detergent containing a phenolic, quaternary ammonium or other type of germicide.
Germicidal liquid detergent produced to this standard is intended primarily for the general cleaning and disinfecting of floors, walls and other hard surfaces in institutions where the destruction of bacteria is important. It is suitable for use on resilient flooring, porcelain, glass, tile, stainless steel, chrome and painted or varnished surfaces.
The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
