This standard states physical and chemical requirements for a liquid, nonionic detergent intended for light-duty cleaning and laundering.

This includes detergent of the polyethylene-glycol linear alkyl ether or alkyl aryl types, or polyalklene-glycol (copolyol) including end group modified linear alkyl ether or alkyl aryl ether types.

For more detailed information on intended uses, see par. 7.2.
