This standard is intended for use as a guide in the correct choice of standard products for cleaning operations in public buildings and equipment. The standard is divided into two parts as follows:
Part 1 contains general recommendations and precautions on the cleaning of floors, walls and woodwork in public buildings.
Part 2 gives a summary of form, properties and uses of soaps, detergents and cleaning agents covered by the CAN/CGSB-2 series of standards.
The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
