This standard specifies the physical and chemical requirements for a stain remover used in in hard or soft water to remove coffee, tea and other adsorbed food stains, primarily from plastic tableware, by immersion.
The stain remover may also be used on glass and china tableware, although it is not intended for this purpose. It may also be used to remove stains from coffee urns, except those made of aluminum. Due to its tendency to deteriorate and lose oxygen in storage, it is advisable not to purchase more than six month supply at a time.
