1. Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to factory-made, air-source, air- sink, single package, unitary air-conditioners and heat pumps, matching assemblies of the type classified in Clause 1.4, intended for air-conditioning and space heating applications.
1.2
This Standard applies only to electrically driven, mechanical, va pour-compression-type systems charged with one of the refrigerants listed in Group 1 of CSA Standard B52, Mechanical Refrigeration Code.
1.3
This Standard applies to equipment rated below 19.0 kW (65,000 Btu/h) heating or cooling at standard rating conditions as listed in Clause 6.2.

The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. Imperial units have been used in Clause 7 to ensure compatibility with the requirements developed by the United States Department of Energy and industry practice.
